What is an adhesive washer?

Bonded gasket seals, commonly referred to as Dowty seals, were originally designed to replace copper gaskets in high-pressure systems, and they consist of a metal gasket and an elastomeric ring that is held in place within the diameter. Metal gaskets prevent excessive compression and limit deformation of the elastomeric ring.

Adhesive gaskets are suitable for high-pressure seals and are used in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields. Ideal for under-head sealing of bolted and threaded assemblies for pipe fittings and a variety of connector applications where perfect face-to-face contact is required to seal gases, oils, and other liquids.
